Working for Early Childhood Education
The First Encounters Childcare program early childhood education is designed to create lifelong learners and provide an enriching early childhood education experience for both the students and the teachers.

We limit class sizes so that our children receive the positive attention they need, from teachers who are able able to create a structured learning environment and provide a foundation for success when they enter grade school.

Working for School Age Child Care
Working in our school age program requires creativity, enthusiasm for learning, and a drive to create a safe and fun environment for our students. Our school age program frequently provides training for individuals who are new to the field of education, and it can be a stepping stone to a career in other areas of education and/or youth work. Workdays are busy and full of new challenges which allow teachers to enhance their skills while giving our children the nurturing, attention and structure they need and deserve.

Working for Bellevue Community Center Programming & Administration

This is an exciting time at BCC, Executive Director Susan Strawbridge has launched a series of new community programs and partnerships, including planting a community garden, activities to turn local teens into community leaders, and much more. The members of BCC’s programming and administrative team are self‐motivated and collegial individuals who are dedicated to improving the community. To be a member of this team, the ability to multi‐task and communicate effectively is a must. The working environment is casual yet professional, and salaries and benefits (for full‐time staff) are competitive.
